Greyhound joins the race for First Dog
We have another entry in the Which-Dog-Should-Be-First-Dog campaign. Huffington Post blogger Kira Craft makes a nifty case for the Greyhound, calling them “sweet companions and low-key family pets.” And since it’s our secret desire to one day rescue one of these beauties, we can’t disagree that it's a great choice for the Obama Dog.
Photographer Barbara Karant, who specializes in Greyhound photography, has a brilliant image (pictured here) calling for President-elect Barack Obama to choose a Greyhound rescue for daughters Malia and Sasha.
We’ve got to admit, they’re regal, aristocratic dogs – perfect for State dinners and quite photogenic.
