Bo's coming-out party
Bo the First Puppy made his debut in front of TV cameras and photographers today, taking a leashed romp on the White House South Lawn with his new family and looking perfectly at home despite all the attention he received.
“He’s a star,” President Obama said. “He’s got star quality.”
Snapping cameras and overanxious reporters and photographers inched forward to get a closer look at Bo, a six-month-old Portuguese Water Dog who was a gift from Sen. Ted Kennedy. Secret Service men kept coaxing them back.
The entire Obama family was there for Bo’s first official walk. Daughter Malia, who has allergies but has shown no signs of discomfort around the dog, said, “I love him. He’s perfect.”
And he seemed perfect with his family. Even First Lady Michelle Obama took a turn walking Bo.
The president’s observation: “We’re very pleased with Bo.”

That's great the dog Bo seems to be enjoying
being part of the White House family.
Hope it grows to be smart & wise First Dog.
