Bo salutes U.S. Navy Seals Team 6 and Cairo, their Belgian Malinois teammate!
This is one of those occasions where it is perfectly acceptable to hate both the player and the game. Bin Laden had to go and I'm proud that one of my canine cousins was a member of the elite Navy Seals team who completed the mission.
The 4-legged team member was a Belgian Malinois named Cairo, the only team member to be identified by name. German Shepherd, Dutch Shepherd and Belgian Malinois breeds are favored by the military because they possess the best overall combination of keen sense of smell, endurance, speed, strength, courage, intelligence and adaptability to climatic conditions, essential traits for Military Working Dogs (MWD's).
Last year a company by the name of K9 Storm Incorporated was awarded an $86,000 contract by the U.S. Navy to supply protective gear for their war dogs. The K9 Storm Intruder Vest is bullet proof, stab proof and shrapnel proof. It includes an infrared and night-vision-enabled camera as well as a transmitter and receiver.
United States Navy Seals dogs complete a rigorous training program to become the best of the best at detecting explosives and enemy troops. They are also expert trackers, scouts and sentries. We look forward to learning details of Cairo's role in the Bin Laden mission.
I'm so proud of my dad, President Obama, and all the men, women and canines in uniform who worked tirelessly to bring Bin Laden to justice, many of them making the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Military working dogs are really amazing. Canines are really smart. Sometimes they are even wiser than humans.

I only wished to clarify the wording "Pakistan bordering Afghani Zabul province": the deaths occured on Afghan territory, the SE province of Zabul being on the border with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Now, that approximately 6 weeks have passed since the successful completion of, (what I call), phase I of Operation "Geronimo", would it be all right, at the same time I permit myself to congratulate again the US Navy Seals for their valor, to request some renewed attention for the NATO-linked ISAF men and women currently still in Afghanistan, (and the ones from around other places of the world, as pertaining to the NATO forces), who are literally putting their lives on the line in the course of their duties in order to literally create a SAFER planet for us to continue with our mundane daily often selfish activities.
I also sincerely believe that the military personnel who gave their lives during the course of this past year, June 2010-June 2011, DID also contribute, by their pre-direct operation missions, during-direct operation missions, and immediate post-operative missions, to this successful action of bringing to justice mass murderer Usamah bin Muhammad bin Awad bin Ladin.
I really wish to write here the names of these men, so that they can be remebered:
* Caracuda Paul, 36 years old, post-mortem underlieutenant, junior active military officer of the ISAF affiliated elite Special Maneuver & Ops Mountain Rangers Troops, of the 33rd Batallion Posada, of the Romanian Land Army, with an original 6 months long mission to securise an area of interest in the Zabul province of Afghanistan, with two surviving children and a surviving spouse, deceased on the 23rd of June, 2010, Anno Domini, during an ISAF transport and communications combat patrol mission, on A1 H-wy, going from Kabul (Caubul), the capital of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, towards Kandahar (Qandahar, Alexandria Arachosia, at the time of the ancient Greeks), (S of the Afghani Zabul province along the border with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan;
* Ciobotaru Dan, 28 years old, post-mortem underlieutenant, junior active military officer of the of the ISAF affiliated elite Special Maneuver & Ops Mountain Rangers Troops, of the 33rd Batallion Posada, of the Romanian Land Army, with an original 6 months long mission to securise an area of interest in the Zabul province of Afghanistan, with surviving relatives in Romania, deceased on the 23rd of June, 2010, Anno Domini, during an ISAF transport and communications combat patrol mission, on A1H-wy, going from Kabul (Caubul, Alexandria Arachosia), the capital of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, towards Kandahar (Qandahar), (S of the Zabul province along the border with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan);
* Jukka Kansonen, 35 years old, Senior Lieutenant of the Pori Brigade, of the Finnish Army, deceased while in patrolling action near the city of Aybak, in the Northern Afgan province of Samangan, on February 15th, 2011;
* Lixandru Constantin-Laurentiu, 30 years old, post-mortem underlieutenant, junior active military officer of the ISAF affiliated 26th Batallion Infantry branch of the Romanian Army, with a surviving spouse, deceased on the 5th of May, 2011, Anno Domini, while on a specific target of interest building recon & search combat patrol mission, in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan bordering Afghani Zabul province (N of Alexandria Arachosia, Qandahar);
* Marinescu Catalin-Ionel, 28 years old, post-mortem underlieutenant, junior active military officer of the ISAF affiliated 26th Batallion Infantry branch of the Romanian Army, with 2 surviving parents and a loving partner, deceased on the 10th of May, 2011, Anno Domini, while on a specific target of interest recon & serach combat patrol mission, in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan bordering Afghani Zabul province (N of Alexandria Arachosia, Qandahar).
I am sorry I have only listed nominally the Romanian and Finnish military personnel that died, given that, according to Samaa TV, "at least 220 foreign troops have been killed in Afghanistan in 2011" [alone], "57 in May when the Taliban began a spring offensive, making it the deadliest month of the year for foreign troops".
I listed the Romanian because they are my compatriotes, and the Finn because I do have a special relationship with Finland, having spent in Helsinki part of my early formative educational years, and having recently returned to Scandinavia, recently learning to appreciate the true expertise of the Finnish Border Guard, which I believe is indeed a veritable bulwark guarding the Northern and North-eastern territory of Europe against any undesirable and/or dangerous intrusions.

I heard that Bo is not at the White House anymore, there been no recent info or pics of the dog. I been told that Obama give the dog away because he was to much trouble. One my friends joke that Bo was sent for SEAL K9 Training and the NAVY SEALS TEAM and was the dog that caught Bin Laden. Which I know is a joke and well others on the net is saying "OH BO HAS NOT BEEN SEEN IN THE WHITE HOUSE IN MONTHS, MAYBE IS THE SUPER DOG THAT GOT BIN LADEN". Personally, I think Obama give the dog away! I'm tired false statements made and being someone in the military, the above statement about the breed and name of this SEAL DOG,.. is false and it has not been issued to the public due to the safety of the team members and the dogs handler and family. Because, after this dog is retired it will live with it handler as a family pet. So, they are protecting the handler and the handlers family by not naming the dog! So, if their really a dog by this name and breed in the NAVY, you just indangered the handler and their family!!!!! Bin Laden's followers can attack a family of a military dog handler that was not involved with this and kill that family,.. even the children of that soldier,...or same go if this really the dog that was involed. Do anyone think here,.. For the saftey of everyone that is involed or not involed in this pleses done give names out,.. even if it's a DOG!!!!!
